Where Morristown Meets the Wild West

Stop #2 on our way back to Ohio was a really cool Western-style concept. The restaurant, saloon, general store, and dance floor are lined up next to each other, so it feels like you’re walking through an old western town. We could absolutely see this being a popular spot on the weekends and a great atmosphere to listen to some music and drink a beer. There weren’t any events going on when we visited, so we spent our evening petting the donkeys and watching the baby goats jump on their mamma.

As for food, we tried their onion rings, chicken sandwich, and BBQ platter. Overall, it was decent but a little greasy and dry for our palette, with the sauces not really standing out. What they were lacking in food was made up for with atmosphere.

It was a nice stop for a night, and while the smell of manure was strong, it reminded us a little of home. Shout out to Jessica, the donkey, for demanding pets and snacks from Michael in the loudest way possible! 😂

About The Ranch

Dillon’s at Western Trail Ranch is part of a restaurant concept that began in 1998 and now includes four locations across Arizona. Established in 2019, this is their largest endeavor yet, with 12 acres of Wild West fun. There are two stages, a saloon, a roping arena, a bull riding arena, and a General Store. They have live entertainment every weekend with country music, rock-n-roll tribute bands, and more. September 25th through April, you can join them for bull riding the first Saturday of every month and team roping every Thursday-Sunday. It’s the ultimate Western experience.
