Boondockers Welcome

Talk about inspiring Boondockers Welcome hosts! Jeff and Lenora are Hall of Fame Hosts and have hosted over 500 fellow boondockers with Boondockers Welcome. It’s no wonder they have because they have gone above and beyond with their accommodations. For a small donation for each service, they provide an enclosed bathhouse with a toilet, shower, and sink. They also have electric hookups, water, and dumps. It was a 50 amp outlet, so be sure to have an adapter if needed. It was a spacious private setting in an easy-to-navigate loop. We would definitely come back here if we find ourselves in the area again.

After we settled in, we got to catch up with my parents over the phone and our friends, Haylie, Tyler, and baby Margo.

Boondockers Welcome is a subscription service where locals invite RVers to park on their property, share their stories, and get a good night’s rest for free! It’s a perfect way to break up long drives without paying campground fees. Some hosts offer electric hookups and other amenities for a small donation.

Tip

Becoming a Boondockers Welcome host is a great way to save money on your subscription. Michael and I signed up and hope to host people by letting them park in our driveway when we’re back in Ohio.
