Craft Brews & Pizza Bliss With a Feline-Friendly Vibe!

Bayou Teche Brewing is undeniably one of the coolest breweries in the South. It’s easily one of the best breweries we’ve ever been to. They had everything we could ask for in a Harvest Host: great drinks, incredible pizza, outdoor cats, art, and arcade games.

Nestled in the heart of Louisiana’s Cajun country, this hidden gem offers beer enthusiasts a unique and vibrant experience. The brewery embodies the spirit of its surroundings, infusing its brews with the region’s rich cultural heritage to complement the cuisine and lifestyle of Cajuns and Creoles. But it’s not just the beer that sets this place apart. The outside of the building is covered in colorful murals, and the inside is packed to the brim with weird and unique art and arcade games. Not to mention all of their staff were very helpful and chill. With its commitment to quality and inventive approach to brewing, Bayou Teche Brewing has undoubtedly earned its place as one of the best breweries around.

Beer

Bayou Teche Brewing Taproom brews and bottles its beer on-site and offers private brewery tours. From their famous LA-31 Bière Pâle, a crisp and refreshing pale ale, to their innovative and experimental brews like the Boucanée Smoked Wheat, Bayou Teche Brewing constantly surprises and delights its visitors. Their flagship, Bière Pâle, a Louisiana Pale Ale, complements local cuisine, brewed with Belgian malts, American hops, and yeast. Their other brews include Swamp Thing IPA, Cinco De Bayou Mexican Lager, DDH Cocodrie IPA, Big Fatty IPA, Techeticles IPA, and Ragin’ Cajuns Ale. Embrace the local taste with Bayou Teche! View their complete beer list on Untapped.

Velvet Techeticles – I tried this fruit beer purely because it has a 23% ABV. It was delicious and surprisingly sweet.

Pizza

Cajun Saucer Pizza shares the space with Bayou Tech. They craft authentic wood-fired, Neapolitan-style pizzas. Our bartender, Skylar, said the owner had spent 10+ years in Italy while serving in the military and picked up this pizza-making technique. It was some of the most unique and delicious pizzas Michael and I have ever had. 100/10 pizza flavor and texture. We would 100% come back here just for the pizza. Try one of their pies if you ever find yourself in the area. These descriptions are wild. Check out their site to see all of the unique creations.

I’m a Rocket Ham – Fresh and shredded mozzarella cheese and white cream sauce. Cajun saucer smoked ham, roasted garlic olive oil, and sriracha honey drizzle.

Spud Trek – French Raclette cheese, baked potato slices, green onions, smoked sea salt, and roasted garlic olive oil drizzle

Alien Autopsy – Fresh and shredded mozzarella cheese, cajun saucer tomato sauce, andouille, Tasso, chaurice and smoked sausages, candied jalapeños, and roasted garlic olive oil drizzle.
