Overview
Our time here was a bit dreary due to the cloudy skies and foggy days. It’s about a 10-minute drive into town, so we didn’t do much exploring. However, there were a ton of amazing-looking food places nearby. If we were to come back, we’d definitely want to check some of them out. The Devil’s Bridge is a fun piece of architecture and gives the place some character. We contemplated taking our inflatable kayak out for a spin, but got intimidated by the mention of alligators.
The individual sites each have their own unique characteristics and views. Ours, wasn’t too shabby, but the one across from us had a great view of the water. This place is eligible for a discount with a Texas State Park pass. Normally it’s $10 per night, but with a pass, it’s only $5!
Camper Flooding Mishap
On our last night here, I wanted to take a nice hot shower before setting off to our next destination. Unfortunately, the shower drain pipe somehow got disconnected, so all of the shower water flooded under the bathtub and got stuck in the undercarriage. Michael had to slice holes to drain it out. It was a watery mess that we’re going to have to inspect soon. We don’t want any moisture hanging out and infecting our camper with mold.
Tip:
Check your pipes! We had no idea our shower drain got disconnected, so all of the water from one of our showers ended up flooding out the outside bottom portion of our camper. SOB!
