Harvest Host

Northland Brewing Co is a small craft brewery in the heart of downtown Indian River. They have indoor and outdoor seating with a large beer garden, live music venue, and food trucks. There are typically three food trucks on-site throughout the year. However, since we came in the off-season, there were only two trucks with one of them leaving that coming weekend. Indian River looked very cute and had a winery right down the road.

The space for campers was decently sized and was surrounded by tall, beautiful pine trees. It was a very nice location and within walking distance of other stores and restaurants nearby. We would totally come back here again in the spring or summer and spend some time exploring the town a bit.

*We have a Harvest Host Membership, so we’re able to stay at destinations like this with the expectation of spending $30 minimum within the facility.

Places of Note

Christopher’s Cafe – We had the most delicious brunch food to-go the next day. The breakfast burrito and skillet were excellent and fairly priced.

La Casa de Rosa’s – The tacos were decent but not overly flavorful. We did try a sample of their tortilla soup, which was delicious.

The Digs-Asian Cuisine – We tried the Tonkatsu, which is a breaded fried pork and Japanese-style BBQ sauce. Interesting, but not overly amazing.

Tip:

Make sure to arrive while there’s daylight. Parking is decently spacious, but it’s unlevel, so you’ll likely need leveling blocks to even things out.
