From Earth To Bottle

Three cheers for our first experience with a complimentary wine tasting! The owners, Steven and Susan, are kind and welcoming. Steven is a storyteller and has crafted an entertaining narrative that walks you through each of their wines during your tasting. LOWDW’s sparkling wine was my favorite and had all of the characteristics of summer. Michael and I relaxed on their patio with our drinks and snacked on delicious chocolate-covered pistachios from a local seller. The views of the distant mountains and grapevines made for a lovely scene. We were given a tour of the winery, its history, and its bottling process. All in all, we had a lovely time.

About The Winery

Located on Winery Row, Little Old Wine Drinkers Winery was established in 2016. From soil-breaking to harvesting to delivery, Little Old Wine Drinkers is part of the entire wine-making process.

Wine Varieties (as of 2/4/2024)

  • 2022 Pinot Grigio – Though dry and with a zip of acidity, this Italian-style white wine has a pleasant floral fragrance and tremendous fruit flavors of lemons, limes, green apples, and honeysuckle.

  • 2023 Tempranillo – Grown, vinted, and bottled on-site. Tempranillo is a black grape variety widely grown to make red wines in Spain. It is medium-bodied with pronounced sweet vanilla aromas and flavors of cherries, currants, and coconuts, with a fresh aroma and smooth mouthfeel.

  • 2023 Zin Rose – Zinfandel grapes are processed to produce a lighter rosé wine with an approachable and easy-drinking profile.

  • 2022 Cabernet Franc – Cabernet Franc is a lighter, bright red wine that contributes a delicate taste and lends a peppery perfume. Other aromas can include tobacco, raspberry, bell pepper, and violets.

  • 2022 Heritage Red Blend – An Arizona Estate wine, this variety of grapes is blended for an enjoyable taste with notes of cranberry and pomegranate. It is a delicious, chillable red wine.

  • Clothing Optional, Merlot Rosé – Bright and refreshing, this vibrant, medium-pink White Merlot variety lays the groundwork with its exuberant strawberry notes, tangy acidity, and crisp, delicate finish. The natural strawberry flavor weaves in a pleasant sweetness for an immediate and delicious sensation.
